“Food is an edible message that deserves attention.”
I graduated design from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 2015. With my diploma paper, The Confectionery of Memories, I began my still ongoing research on memories. I collect tastes, memories and stories. My aim is to find and present the common parts of our memories. I explore the relationship between collective and personal memories, building an invisible network among unknown people. I believe that in order to get to know each other and ourselves it is indispensable to share our memories.
For me, it is paramount that, through the objects I have designed, I come in contact with others and draw attention to messages about which we do not even realize how important they are to us. That is why I approached the food as a medium, choosing it as a means of expression in several of my projects.
I believe that communication with food ‒ through its consumability ‒ is capable of bringing to the surface the most profound and determining aspects of our being.
My lecture presents the methodology and results of my research through my main works. The audience will learn about the details and stories of the projects The Confectionery of Memories and Sunday Lunch.
