The event is part of the pulzArt Contemporary Arts Festival, 10th edition.
The workshop will give participants an insight into some of the printing techniques used by the artist duo Gróf-Gyenes.
Using stamps and printing plates – which were also used to create the exhibited works entitled PROPOSAL FOR A NEW FLAG (MEANDER) and ICEBERG 1, 2 – we will create textile and paper-based graphic works reflecting on the issues raised by the exhibition, which draws inspiration from diagrams, infographics and political slogans of ecological and economic hopelessness.
You will also have the option of printing a white t-shirt or bag – either brought from home or bought on the spot – although the acrylic paint we will be working with is less durable, but don’t let that put you off!
There is no age limit and participation is free but places are limited.
The workshop will be held in Hungarian, Romanian, English and French.

Zsófia Gyenes (b. 1977, Budapest) is a textile designer and visual artist. She completed her studies in Budapest and Paris, graduating from the textile department of ENSAD (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs) in 2004. After nearly twenty years working as a textile designer in the fashion, interior design, and automotive industries, she embarked on an independent artistic practice in 2022.
Ferenc Gróf (b. 1972, Pécs) founding member of the Société Réaliste group, where he developed a distinctive artistic language using linguistic and typographic elements, statistics, and cartographic symbols to examine social processes and reveal connections between the past and present. Following the dissolution of the group, he has retained this perspective, with his works now exploring ideological imprints at the intersection of graphic design and spatiality.
