19:30 – 21:00 Stolpersteine Memorial Prints – A Commemorative Walk led by Jenő Kiss, with a collaborative frottage art activity
A local history-themed commemorative walk will take place in Sfântu Gheorghe, guided by Jenő Kiss, former director of the county library focusing on the memory of the Jewish community of the Háromszék region — those who once lived among us, and about whom history speaks far too little and unjustly so.
During the walk, participants will learn about the former social and economic roles of the Jewish community and the effects of coexistence between Jewish and non-Jewish residents, shedding light on the missing historical narratives that still await exploration.
The walk will include visits to several Stolpersteine (stumbling stone) locations in the city center, as well as the marked sites of the former synagogue and ghetto. The Stolpersteine are fragments of memory embedded in the urban landscape, marking the former homes of Jewish residents. They were placed at 13 locations in the city based on the research and proposals of Jenő Kiss, complemented by the markings of the synagogue and ghetto.
The commemorative walk will be enriched by a collective art activity: we will create prints of the Stolpersteine using the frottage technique, preserving the physical traces of remembrance.
The MAGMA Contemporary Art Space, the Székely National Museum and the Transylvanian Art Centre invites art lovers to join again to a quiz game entitled One-Night Adventure!
The event, held as part of Night of the Museums, will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, between 18:00 and 23:00, offering participants the opportunity to take part in a team-based quiz game. We welcome teams who wish to deepen and test their knowledge based on the current exhibitions of the three participating institutions.
This year, the competition will be held in two categories:
Youth (teams with members aged 14–18)
Adult (participants over the age of 18)
Prizes:
Youth Category: 1st Prize: A dinner voucher worth 300 RON, offered by GADO Gourmet Bistro. 2nd Prize: SepsiClassic tickets and gift items
Adult Category: 1st Prize: A dinner voucher worth 500 RON, offered by Szentgyörgy Cellar Restaurant. 2nd Prize: SepsiClassic tickets and gift items
The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Transylvanian Art Centre.
Teams of 2 to 4 members, all of whom must be at least 14 years old, are eligible to register for the One-Night Adventure quiz game.
Registration is open until June 20, 2025, by filling out the form linked below.
The number of spots is limited, so the organizers reserve the right to modify the registration deadline if necessary.
