◄► take your Friday dinner together with Daniel Spoerri’s artworks at the MAGMA Contemporary Art Space
On the 5th October from 7 p.m. the MAGMA Contemporary Art Space – on the occasion of 12th edition of The White Night of the Art Galleries and Daniel SPOERRI‘s solo exhibition, entitled Digesting the Past ‒ Eat Art and Object Art – will evoke for an evening the spirit of Spoerri’s banquets in a specific form.
The event follows the model of Restaurant Spoerri, opened by the artist in 1968, in Düsseldorf – which was a traditional restaurant and in the same time a place for permanent art happenings – with the sole difference, that dinner will be brought to the banquet by the attendants.
Dinner made by participants previous will be numbered followed by drawing lots, which decides each participants menu to consume during the evening.
Each dinner prepared by the guests will recieve a number and afterwards every participant gets a meal assigned to his or her name by chance, which the guests can consume during the evening.
Admission to the event is free. There are a limited number of seats available, therefore we advise you to register for the dinner on the event’s Facebook page, or by phone 0736 063 924 at number, until the last minute before the event starts.
Guests already registered are invited to bring the meals in separate containers, and everyone should bring their own plates and cutlery. Glasses and drinks are provided by the hosts of the event.
Taking part at the event and consumption is at your own responsibility.
The exhibition will be open to the general public during the event.
