The MAGMA Contemporary Art Space presents the INTERSECȚIA project, which, at the initiative of Emanuela Ascari, invites artists and researchers into a rural environment in Brădet, near Întorsura Buzăului, Romania. At the event Emanuela Ascari will present the purposes and ideas that serve at the basis of the project; one of the invited guest artists of the INTERSECȚIA project this year, Gedske Ramløv will expound on her ideas about her research during her residence programme, based on the exploration of the local context, within the artistic discourse followed by her.

The event will be accompanied by a studio exhibition presenting Gedske Ramløv’s two previous works, namely the drawing series consisting of 12 pieces entitled Terminator – studies for a topography of twilight zones, 2017, and the video work Præ-Locus physis. A ‘sound allegory’, 2014, which can be visited every day, except for Mondays and holidays, between 11 am and 7 pm, until 19 August 2018.

The event will take place in the basement of the MAGMA Contemporary Art Space on Friday, 27 July 2018, at 7 pm, within the framework of the ART INStITUt programme series presenting Romanian art institutions, contemporary art organizations.
