The MAGMA Contemporary Art Space in Sfântu Gheorghe invites kindergarten children and school students to a CREATIVE WORKSHOP, which will take place until December 6, 2024.

The theme of the workshop is the self-portrait, which participants will create using cyanotype and/or collage techniques, inspired by Andy Warhol’s silkscreen prints.

The workshop is structured into two sessions:

In the first session, portraits of the participants will be taken in professional conditions. During this time, projections from the children’s film competition program of the Primanima World Festival of First Animation will be shown. These include animated short films grouped by age category, with a duration of approximately one hour.

During the second session, participants will explore Andy Warhol’s work through his iconic portraits of his contemporaries. Subsequently, through a technical overview and practical demonstrations, they will create their own artworks, gaining insight into this genre of the representation process.

By participating in the workshops, groups agree that the photo and video documentation created during the program may be freely used by MAGMA to promote its activities on its online and offline platforms.
