With the occasion of Eight Present Artists group exhibition@MAGMA meet Christina HARTL-PRAGER who will present her artistic work.
Christina Hartl-Prager (1980) lives and works in Vienna (born in Innsbruck, Austria.). After acquiring ample skills as a journeyman house painter, paperhanger, signage manufacturer, gilder, silversmith and basic techniques of a classical sculptor, Christina Hartl-Prager studied Fine Art/Transmedial Space at the Art University of Linz and at NCAD Dublin. She was part of several artist collectives, such as the Open Studio/Medea and the artist group kalida 508d through which she organised exhibitions and art projects in Austria, Ireland, Poland and Romania. Hartl-Prager uses photography as a means of documentation and visual post-it to archive details, geometries and shapes. Reworking them with a marker was in the beginning a pragmatically chosen method to reduce visual information to the very essentials.
