MAGMA Contemporary Art Space announces creative workshops for school classes (lower and upper secondary school groups) under the title EXTENDED PRESENT.
The objective of the workshops is to provide students with an opportunity to explore visual creative processes and new media technologies in a playful and experimental way.

2. Call for Artists and Collectors: Local Media Art Archiving Program
A key professional objective of the project is to launch the Local Media Art Archiving Program, through which we preserve for posterity vulnerable works by local and regional artists recorded on analog media (VHS, cassettes, film) through digitization and conservation, integrating them into MAGMA’s searchable database.
We welcome proposals and inquiries from local creators and collectors regarding local video art or documentation materials in need of archiving!

Overall Objective of the Project
The overall objective of the project is to enrich the contemporary visual culture of the Sfântu Gheorghe community and to systematically preserve the local artistic memory by establishing a dialogue between traditional and new media technologies.

The program is realized with the support of the Local Council of Sfântu Gheorghe.
